Wiley Elementary Band

Parent volunteers are the lifeblood of our band program here at Wiley Elementary. Our band is dependent on volunteer help to ensure successful and smooth operation of all rehearsals, concerts, and other band events. All parents of Wiley Band students are asked to volunteer with the band several times throughout the year.

Rehearsal Volunteer Duties

• Helping with rehearsal setup at 7:30am
• Greeting students at carpool line at 7:40am
• Taking attendance at beginning of rehearsal
• Remaining in rehearsal to help keep students on task; providing pencils/other materials to students; mitigating disruptive behavior
• Supervising student dismissal
• Helping restore the classroom after rehearsal

Concert Volunteer Duties

• Help transport eqiupment to concert venue
• Set up chairs on stage
• Supervise and maintain instrument unpacking area
• Supervise students while they're not performing
• Restore performance venue after concert
• Help transport equipment back into storage after concert
